Microsoft Edge has already tested these features through its Beta experience on iOS. Now the features are all ready to roll out to general users. One of the new additions to the app is protected organizational websites for users singing in through work or school Microsoft Accounts. Users can now also sync notes jotted with Windows Ink on their PC to Microsoft Edge on iOS. In terms of books, Microsoft has made ebook tools more robust. Specifically, the browser now allows users to search for words within a text. Here are the full release notes:

Recently, Microsoft has rolled out some interesting features for Edge on iOS. Visual Search lets users upload an image to the web to find information. Objects of interest are denoted by Bing, which will detect and mark items in an image. Clicking one of these marked hotspots allows Visual Search to automatically select it.

Moving away from iOS, Microsoft has received criticism over the last week for a Windows 10 App Recommendations feature. A new feature called “App Suggestions” will be turned on for all users by default. This will result in a popup windows appearing when a third-party browser is installed. While users were concerned, Microsoft insisted it was just an experiment and not scheduled for any upcoming Windows update.
