This is not a feature rich update by any means but does offer something interesting. Microsoft has introduced a Light Mode for the Windows 10 Photos app. Sure, Light Mode was available before, but was limited to the collections and albums sections. Now, the mode is available in the image viewer as well. Aside from that, Microsoft has performed the usual bug fixes and unnamed improvements. If you’re interested, the full release notes are below:

As mentioned, the new Windows 10 Photos update is available to Windows Insiders. At the moment, the release is in the Fast and Skip Ahead Ring. From here it will move to Slow and Release rings before reaching general users. We expect that to happen over the next few weeks, but in the meantime, you can download the Insider release from the Store here (provided you are a Windows Insider).
Recent Photos Updates
In August, Microsoft made some important changes to the Windows 10 Photos experience. Firstly, the company added support for GPU-powered video encoding. Users benefit from the integration as they should see performance of the app improve when encoding. That same month, Microsoft made behind the scenes work to overhaul the UI of the Photos app. As a result, Windows will receive a more efficient organizational image system and an improved editing system.
