While it is certainly nice to have confirmation of the specs, the official list is very familiar. There have been a couple of leaks that we now know were spot on in terms of what we ca expect Project Scorpio to deliver. As Microsoft has already confirmed, Project Scorpio will be a significant step above the current Xbox One S. Indeed, while it will carry Xbox One branding, the console will feel like a next generation unit thanks to its boosted performance. That will also extend to the aesthetic. Perhaps the biggest secret left regarding Scorpio is how it will look.
However, Microsoft has confirmed that the device will look different to the Xbox One. Back to the specs, and without further ado, here are the specifications for Project Scorpio:

A Step Up
As mentioned, the console will be a giant leap forward and a step above Sony’s market leading PlayStation 4. If we compare some of Project Scorpio’s specs next to the 2016-launced PS4 Pro, the difference is clear. The PS4 Pro has 8GB GDDR5 with 5GB for games, 218GB/s memory bandwidth, and a 2.1GHz processor. Adding to the revealed specs, we already know some of the capabilities of Project Scorpio. It has a compute power 4.5 times more than the current console. Microsoft has already confirmed the device will get 6TFLOPs for horsepower. In February it was reported the console will get an integrated PSU and deliver 4K streaming. The device will also improve gaming for users on 1080p Full HD screens.
