The build number for this release is 15063.2011, or rs2_release_xbox_1704.170330-1900. Members of the Xbox Insider Program on Preview Ring 3 can download the update now. The major new addition is Activity Reports. This lets users monitor and control the use of the Xbox One, such as web browsing, screen time limits, app and game use, and purchase history. Obviously, this is aimed at parents wanting to make sure their kids are safe and/or not spending all their money. We are also hearing that there are other new features in this release, although Microsoft has not listed them yet. Below is the changelog we have so far for this release: “Activity Reports Activity reports are now available on Xbox One! You can now monitor your child’s activity on Xbox One including web browsing, app & game usage, screen time limits (where available), and purchase history. To access activity reports:
Alpha Ring Release
Microsoft has also released 15063.2013, or rs2_release_xbox_1704.170401-1900 to the Alpha Ring. Both of the releases today (Alpha and Ring 3) will come to all end users sometime in April, as denoted by the 1704 build number. So far is seems as through build 15063.2013 is carrying the same changelog as the older Ring 3 release from today. However, this is probably again an incomplete list of changes, so users may see more additions. Both builds mention the following issues: “Settings – Display & sound: The Audio output page is under construction and some of the new settings are not yet functional. New support is planned for Dolby Atmos for home theater, Dolby Atmos for headphones, and more in upcoming builds. An announcement will be made when these new features are ready to try out; enabling these settings now will have no effect. Wireless Display: The Wireless Display app fails to launch and immediately crashes to Home.”
